I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Weissman after the recommendation of a friend, and after another dentist recommended 3 crowns. Dr. Weissman gave me a thorough exam, and his advice was that I did not need crowns, and recommended a much more conservative treatment for a tooth that was somewhat sensitive. In addition, he provided the best dental cleaning I've ever had. His office staff are professional, and efficient.

Dr. John Weissman has been our family dentist since we moved to Boulder 25 years ago, and he is the best! He is very conscientious and careful about the dental work he does, and his work is actually pictured in several dental textbooks. He is interesting and his conversation keeps you from remembering you are in a dentist’s chair! I give him my highest recommendation!
Dr. Weissman is the most thorough and competent dentist I have had. He never orders unnecessary work. He either does dental cleaning himself or follows it up by looking at x-rays and also checking each tooth in the mouth. The hygienist, Patty, is excellent too and the front office is easy to reach and very professional.

Dr. Weissman is very meticulous and precise. That often leads to longer-than-expected times for procedures. But the outcome is results that are exceptional. He recently fixed a chipped front tooth, and I would defy anyone to tell me which one he repaired. Perfect work! And a back crown seemed to take forever to prepare, with my head back and my mouth held open. But it looks and feels great.

I’ve been going to Weissman Dental since I moved to Boulder in 2017. Definitely the best and nicest dentist I’ve ever been to. Prior to my most recent cleaning, I went an embarrassing amount of time between cleanings (like seriously epic) and am admittedly not perfect when it comes to dental hygiene. I was very, very nervous but Patti (the dental hygienist) put me at ease right away and there was absolutely ZERO judgment. That’s important to me. In the past, I’ve always felt judged by dentists and hygienists for not religiously flossing twice a day or going a bit longer than 6 months between cleanings; Weissman Dental is a judgment free zone though (yes, they’ll tell you what you can be doing better but they are super nice about it). Cleanings are very efficient, pain-free, and thorough. Dr. Weissman is a truly excellent dentist and so nice; he has a very calming presence, too! I’ve had a cavity (or maybe two) filled over the years and had a chipped tooth fixed. Those procedures were likewise very meticulous, precise, and efficient. Dr. Weissman gets the job done perfectly without making you spend a single unnecessary minute in the chair (unless you want to keep chatting, which I always do — they don’t rush you out the door either!). I’ve never needed a major procedure but will 100% trust this team with all my needs!

Honest fair pricing from a Dentist you can trust. Any other dentist would have told me I needed a root canal, in fact, one did. When I went to Dr. Weisman for a second opinion, he walked me through the clean x ray, and explained my "toothe ache" was the result of my jaw clenching due to pain from my leg amputation. He advised I practice stress relief to help. I did, and in two weeks my "toothe ache" was fine! Honesty is the most important thing and you will find it here.

I was super nervous when looking for a new dentist. Like many people I don’t love the dentist (sorry Dr. Weissman) and put off going. Upon entering I immediately felt calm and welcomed by the super friendly staff. They seemed genuinely excited to meet me and answered all (there were a lot) of my questions about their membership plan and what payments would look like. I’m currently on their membership for uninsured people and it’s amazing- I don’t have to worry about paying when I go in for cleanings and I know I have a plan if I need extra work done! Looking for a skilled dentist who really cares? Dr. Weissman is your guy! I've been seeing him and taking my kids to him for 15 years. He is kind, compassionate, and will always take great care of you. He will use nitrous if you request it. His staff is knowledgeable and kind. If you have an emergency, he will fit you in. He has installed a UV light sterilizing air filtration system in each exam room to keep you safe from Covid. As a health care provider myself, I respect him enormously for his clinical skills and his dedication to his patients.

The office staff are always so helpful; the dental hygienist Patti bent over backwards to provide extra help and information even for family members I mentioned to her; and Dr. Weissman is kind, steady, skillful and compassionate. My dentist was out of town for the holidays and Dr. Weissman saw me in her absence for an emergency appointment on Christmas Eve. His office was closed, and yet he was able to get me in within a few hours. I appreciate his responsiveness and generosity.
Dr Weissman came in on his day off to replace 2 crowns which had fallen off when everyone was on vacation. Did a great job!
Fantastic dentist that really cares. One of our kids has autism and ended up having a lot of dental issues from the difficulty of brushing him. He couldn’t tolerate normal appointments as even the smallest activity (getting into a chair, hearing a drill, seeing X rays) caused him anxiety. Dr. Weissman was kind enough to come in on weekends when things were quite and took as much time as he needed for each appointment. The first appointments probably took 30 minutes just to get him to sit in the chair. 5 years, and many patient appointments later, he likes coming to the dentist, and can sit for a normal cleaning or a filling. Very thankful Dr. Weissman took the time to get him to where he is today.

This was a very pleasant day at Weissman Family Dental. We arrived at the appointed time and we were greeted by the person at the front desk. She also screened us for COVID-19. After clearing the COVID screening, we were offered seats in the reception/ waiting area. Soon, I was led upstairs to an examination room. My dental cleaning was performed in the usual manner and Dr. Weissman soon joined us. After some turn-over conversation, Dr. Weissman completed the examination and we discussed the results. We scheduled our next visits at the front desk and bid everyone a nice afternoon. We are very pleased with the professional staff.

Dr. Weissman is a very meticulous dentist and does a thorough, perfect job. He does not recommend a course of action unless it is really needed and I really appreciate that aspect of my dentist.
Had some work done by Dr. Weissman and the procedure was seamless. The support and office staff is also excellent.

I have been treated at this practice for about twenty years and I have always had excellent, caring treatment. My most recent experience was an emergency and I was seen within two hours of calling. Dr Weissman was meticulous in diagnosing the very painful problem, setting up a specialist appointment and getting prescriptions to my local pharmacy in the shortest possible time. You could not ask for better. All this, while taking the utmost precautions during COVID. Dr Weissman is a true, hard-working professional who always cares about and for his patients.
I've been with this dental office for 30 years. Hard to believe it's been that long, but you know how time flies. Cleanings, fillings, crowns, great referrals to, and communications with, the best endodontists for root canals, you name it. Best in the business -- bar none. I just had a painful dental emergency the other month and they saw me in an hour and saved the day. Dr. Weissman even texted me first thing the next day (Saturday) to see how I was doing. Great support staff. Good communications online with reminders via text and email. They are even bi-lingual. And they are CoVid safe. They sprung for a great ventilation system in their offices, and they are very good about masking and distancing, and I feel very safe there. You cannot go wrong going with this dental office.

Dr. Weissman pointed out shoddy work I had at a cheaper (covered) place, and I would have actually saved money long term by having it done right, even paying out of pocket.

Dr Weissman found an infected tooth that my ex-dentist missed on two different x-rays and then dismissed as a bite problem. Apart from Dr Weissman’s perfect detection, he is empathic, attentive, and speaks perfect Spanish!

State of the art dental office, elevator for the physically challenged, state of the art restrooms, timely procedure, most friendly and caring staff. The receptionists - welcoming and attentive. Devin, the office manager, seemed to never had a bad day. She is very efficient and a capable manager. Everything runs like a well oiled machine. The dentist (dr. Weissman) is always very professional, has the patience of a saint, informative and thorough. Any procedure I went through here, was painless, believe me I am very sensitive to pain, even the numbing shot is painless. They produced high quality dental work that last a longngng time. By itself, it is a gift to excel in this field and has the ability to make patients feel comfortable by creating such pleasant and lighthearted atmosphere. Dr. Weissman was thorough and very professional in my dental exam and in recommendations for further treatment. At age 71 I am used to dentists telling me I need to replace all of my crowns. An expensive proposition for me. I had one crown that obviously needed replacement, since it had broken off. Dr. Weissman is helping me to replace that crown. The others need to be monitored, but for now they are ok. That was what I expected. I strongly recommend Dr. Weissman.

I just had my first visit with Dr. Weissman and he was great! He did a preliminary examination which included X-rays and close-up pictures of my teeth and gums. He then created a treatment plan and was able to get me in (luckily) that afternoon for my first cleaning. I'm embarrassed to say that it had been a long time since I'd been to the dentist, so I had a lot of tartar build-up and only a few cavities. The hygienist, Amy, was great and told me everything she was doing, and made sure that I let her know if anything was too uncomfortable. She took great care to make sure I was as comfortable as possible. Both Dr. Weissman and Amy (sorry, I didn't get her last name) were a pleasure to be around as well and were very personable. I highly recommend them!

I don't like writing reviews, but I honestly feel these people are out to help me. I took miserable care of my teeth and by 27 I was having serious problems. Like most people, I didn't go out of fear. Dr. Weissman and his incredible staff made me feel comfortable, yet were stern about helping me change my ways. Long and short I am 29 with a healthy mouth and a team that helps me keep it that way. P.S. check out their insurance ad it is pretty cheap and covers a lot of maintenance.

In addition to fillings, crowns and root canals he has fitted me with a partial denture that fits so well forget i have it in. I appreciate his discount program as my teeth have 74 years of sugar exposure. I appreciate the very quick response to emergencies I receive from him and his staff. Thanks to them, I just had a painless extraction of a painful bad molar. It healed quickly and I was eating the next afternoon. My wife and I have been going to Dr. Weissman for over twenty years. They had a rough time after the Boulder floods of September 2013, but settled into a nice modern office building in the old steelyards off of 30th Street during 2015. Over this time, we have been fortunate to only need the normal cleanings and fillings, except for a crown that I needed last year. I was a bit anxious about the dental work and its cost. But all went smoothly and permanently fix my problem. Hence, we highly recommend Dr. Weissman and his staff for your dental needs.
Dr. Weissman bought this business from George Coel, our family dentist since the early 1970s. While much has changed since then (location, staff, technologies! etc.), Dr. Weissman has a great, easy-going manner that actually makes the visits tolerable, even enjoyable!

He is not only a highly skilled dentist, perfect for anyone who doesn't usually like going to the dentist, but he is meticulous and his work lasts. He doesn't think up extra work you don't need and his prices are fair. He is honest and straightforward, kind and caring. Dr. Weissman listens well. Here is an example. Recently I went to him for a core filling to a tooth which had a root canal. The tooth was dead, so drilling into it should have been completely painless. He assured me it would be painless, but when he started I felt something. He stopped immediately and asked me what was up. I told him and instead of telling me that it couldn't possibly hurt and that I should relax (which any other dentist would probably say) he realized that it was probably from the vibration and he held the tooth to prevent it from vibrating.The result was a completely painless experience.This appointment was on a Saturday. He extends himself on behalf of the patient, even coming in on a Saturday or staying late. Furthermore, he is a very kind and pleasant man. His office is extremely clean and comfortable. He has the latest equipment. His reception staff and dental assistants are wonderful as well. You just can't go wrong with this practice. He was very responsive too every call and took time out of his day to meet me during hours in which he was not normally open. I recommend him to anybody that needs any type of oral care.

Dr. Weissman is an awesome dentist! I've been going to him for over 15 years and, thanks to him, have never been scared to go to the dentist. Dental procedures and teeth cleaning never hurts. He's very gentle, even when flossing. He also has great tricks to alleviate or distract me from more painful things like anesthetic shot in my gums. Add the fact that Dr. Weissman is a very friendly dentist and gives me goodies like toothbrushes, floss, and toothpaste after my visit... I'm one happy camper!

I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Weissman after the recommendation of a friend, and after another dentist recommended 3 crowns. Dr. Weissman gave me a thorough exam, and his advice was that I did not need crowns, and recommended a much more conservative treatment for a tooth that was somewhat sensitive. In addition, he provided the best dental cleaning I've ever had. His office staff are professional, and efficient.

He is very conscientious and careful about the dental work he does, and his work is actually pictured in several dental textbooks. Dr. Weissman is the most thorough and competent dentist I have had. He never orders unnecessary work. He either does dental cleaning himself or follows it up by looking at x-rays and also checking each tooth in the mouth. The hygienist, Patty, is excellent too and the front office is easy to reach and very professional.

Dr. Weissman is very meticulous and precise. That often leads to longer-than-expected times for procedures. But the outcome is results that are exceptional. He recently fixed a chipped front tooth, and I would defy anyone to tell me which one he repaired. Perfect work! And a back crown seemed to take forever to prepare, with my head back and my mouth held open. But it looks and feels great.

I’ve been going to Weissman Dental since I moved to Boulder in 2017. Definitely the best and nicest dentist I’ve ever been to. Prior to my most recent cleaning, I went an embarrassing amount of time between cleanings (like seriously epic) and am admittedly not perfect when it comes to dental hygiene. I was very, very nervous but Patti (the dental hygienist) put me at ease right away and there was absolutely ZERO judgment. That’s important to me. In the past, I’ve always felt judged by dentists and hygienists for not religiously flossing twice a day or going a bit longer than 6 months between cleanings; Weissman Dental is a judgment free zone though (yes, they’ll tell you what you can be doing better but they are super nice about it). Cleanings are very efficient, pain-free, and thorough. Dr. Weissman is a truly excellent dentist and so nice; he has a very calming presence, too! I’ve had a cavity (or maybe two) filled over the years and had a chipped tooth fixed. Those procedures were likewise very meticulous, precise, and efficient. Dr. Weissman gets the job done perfectly without making you spend a single unnecessary minute in the chair (unless you want to keep chatting, which I always do — they don’t rush you out the door either!). I’ve never needed a major procedure but will 100% trust this team with all my needs!

Honest fair pricing from a Dentist you can trust. Any other dentist would have told me I needed a root canal, in fact, one did. When I went to Dr. Weisman for a second opinion, he walked me through the clean x ray, and explained my "toothe ache" was the result of my jaw clenching due to pain from my leg amputation. He advised I practice stress relief to help. I did, and in two weeks my "toothe ache" was fine! Honesty is the most important thing and you will find it here.

I’m currently on their membership for uninsured people and it’s amazing- I don’t have to worry about paying when I go in for cleanings and I know I have a plan if I need extra work done! He has installed a UV light sterilizing air filtration system in each exam room to keep you safe from Covid. As a health care provider myself, I respect him enormously for his clinical skills and his dedication to his patients.

Fantastic dentist that really cares. One of our kids has autism and ended up having a lot of dental issues from the difficulty of brushing him. He couldn’t tolerate normal appointments as even the smallest activity (getting into a chair, hearing a drill, seeing X rays) caused him anxiety. Dr. Weissman was kind enough to come in on weekends when things were quite and took as much time as he needed for each appointment. The first appointments probably took 30 minutes just to get him to sit in the chair. 5 years, and many patient appointments later, he likes coming to the dentist, and can sit for a normal cleaning or a filling. Very thankful Dr. Weissman took the time to get him to where he is today.

This was a very pleasant day at Weissman Family Dental. We arrived at the appointed time and we were greeted by the person at the front desk. She also screened us for COVID-19. After clearing the COVID screening, we were offered seats in the reception/ waiting area. Soon, I was led upstairs to an examination room. My dental cleaning was performed in the usual manner and Dr. Weissman soon joined us. After some turn-over conversation, Dr. Weissman completed the examination and we discussed the results. We scheduled our next visits at the front desk and bid everyone a nice afternoon. We are very pleased with the professional staff.

I have been treated at this practice for about twenty years and I have always had excellent, caring treatment. My most recent experience was an emergency and I was seen within two hours of calling. Dr Weissman was meticulous in diagnosing the very painful problem, setting up a specialist appointment and getting prescriptions to my local pharmacy in the shortest possible time. You could not ask for better. All this, while taking the utmost precautions during COVID. Dr Weissman is a true, hard-working professional who always cares about and for his patients.
I've been with this dental office for 30 years. Hard to believe it's been that long, but you know how time flies. Cleanings, fillings, crowns, great referrals to, and communications with, the best endodontists for root canals, you name it. Best in the business -- bar none. I just had a painful dental emergency the other month and they saw me in an hour and saved the day. Dr. Weissman even texted me first thing the next day (Saturday) to see how I was doing. Great support staff. Good communications online with reminders via text and email. They are even bi-lingual. And they are CoVid safe. They sprung for a great ventilation system in their offices, and they are very good about masking and distancing, and I feel very safe there. You cannot go wrong going with this dental office.

State of the art dental office, elevator for the physically challenged, state of the art restrooms, timely procedure, most friendly and caring staff. The receptionists - welcoming and attentive. Devin, the office manager, seemed to never had a bad day. She is very efficient and a capable manager. Everything runs like a well oiled machine. The dentist (dr. Weissman) is always very professional, has the patience of a saint, informative and thorough. Any procedure I went through here, was painless, believe me I am very sensitive to pain, even the numbing shot is painless. They produced high quality dental work that last a longngng time. Dr. Weissman was thorough and very professional in my dental exam and in recommendations for further treatment. At age 71 I am used to dentists telling me I need to replace all of my crowns. An expensive proposition for me. I had one crown that obviously needed replacement, since it had broken off. Dr. Weissman is helping me to replace that crown. The others need to be monitored, but for now they are ok. That was what I expected. I strongly recommend Dr. Weissman.

I just had my first visit with Dr. Weissman and he was great! He did a preliminary examination which included X-rays and close-up pictures of my teeth and gums. He then created a treatment plan and was able to get me in (luckily) that afternoon for my first cleaning. I'm embarrassed to say that it had been a long time since I'd been to the dentist, so I had a lot of tartar build-up and only a few cavities. The hygienist, Amy, was great and told me everything she was doing, and made sure that I let her know if anything was too uncomfortable. She took great care to make sure I was as comfortable as possible. Both Dr. Weissman and Amy (sorry, I didn't get her last name) were a pleasure to be around as well and were very personable. I highly recommend them!

I don't like writing reviews, but I honestly feel these people are out to help me. I took miserable care of my teeth and by 27 I was having serious problems. Like most people, I didn't go out of fear. Dr. Weissman and his incredible staff made me feel comfortable, yet were stern about helping me change my ways. Long and short I am 29 with a healthy mouth and a team that helps me keep it that way. P.S. check out their insurance ad it is pretty cheap and covers a lot of maintenance.

They had a rough time after the Boulder floods of September 2013, but settled into a nice modern office building in the old steelyards off of 30th Street during 2015. Over this time, we have been fortunate to only need the normal cleanings and fillings, except for a crown that I needed last year. I was a bit anxious about the dental work and its cost. But all went smoothly and permanently fix my problem. Hence, we highly recommend Dr. Weissman and his staff for your dental needs.
Dr. Weissman bought this business from George Coel, our family dentist since the early 1970s. While much has changed since then (location, staff, technologies! etc.), Dr. Weissman has a great, easy-going manner that actually makes the visits tolerable, even enjoyable!

Dr. Weissman is amazing he not only took the fear out of it he actualy gave me one of the prettiest smiles ever. I love this group and their commitment to their patients for excellent service. He is not only a highly skilled dentist, perfect for anyone who doesn't usually like going to the dentist, but he is meticulous and his work lasts. He doesn't think up extra work you don't need and his prices are fair. He is honest and straightforward, kind and caring. Dr. Weissman listens well. Here is an example. Recently I went to him for a core filling to a tooth which had a root canal. The tooth was dead, so drilling into it should have been completely painless. He assured me it would be painless, but when he started I felt something. He stopped immediately and asked me what was up. I told him and instead of telling me that it couldn't possibly hurt and that I should relax (which any other dentist would probably say) he realized that it was probably from the vibration and he held the tooth to prevent it from vibrating.The result was a completely painless experience.This appointment was on a Saturday. He extends himself on behalf of the patient, even coming in on a Saturday or staying late. Furthermore, he is a very kind and pleasant man. His office is extremely clean and comfortable. He has the latest equipment. His reception staff and dental assistants are wonderful as well. You just can't go wrong with this practice. My experience was everything I hoped for. Dr. Weissman is very experienced and handled everything in a very timely manner. Dr. Weissman is a wonderful dentist-- I and my family have been going to him for years. His staff is friendly and his appointment times are flexible and convenient. His technique is excellent; he's done lots of procedures on me and my family (cavity filling, etc.) and has lots of little tricks to make them quick and gentle. I would recommend anyone looking for a dentist to go to him. I live in a different state now and have never found another dentist as good (and nice!) as he is.
Dr. Weissman is an awesome dentist! I've been going to him for over 15 years and, thanks to him, have never been scared to go to the dentist. Dental procedures and teeth cleaning never hurts. He's very gentle, even when flossing. He also has great tricks to alleviate or distract me from more painful things like anesthetic shot in my gums. Add the fact that Dr. Weissman is a very friendly dentist and gives me goodies like toothbrushes, floss, and toothpaste after my visit... I'm one happy camper!
